Q- I noticed that your sign says “Sensory Gym”, does this mean that only those with special needs or sensory processing disorders can come?
A- A Sensory Gym is great for kids of all abilities, which you may have noticed is also on the sign. We are ALL created with different abilities, and therefore, no one person or child is alike. ALL children are encouraged to come enjoy the gym no matter what their skill level is.
Q- Is On The Move Kids Gym a therapy clinic?
A- No. We are a walk-in community play facility. However, as you will notice, some of the equipment is of a therapeutic nature and will help build different skill areas as your child plays. Just ask if you have any questions about any of the equipment.
Q- Who will supervise my children?
A- It is important that you closely supervise your children and any children you may bring with you to the gym. This is a family gym and we encourage you to interact and participate with your child. Please be mindful to respect the other families that will be using the gym.
Q- Does my child have to be walking?
A- No. We understand that children develop and grow in different ways and have different needs, therefore, we do our best to try to accommodate all those who visit the gym.
Q- What are your ages?
A- Age Groups• Crawling to age 13• Our Special Needs friends are welcome from ages 14- to age 18. Please call to discuss the best times to bring someone over age 18 with special needs to the gym.
Q- Is it ok if I bring multiple kids?
A- We recommend at least 1 adult/3 kids ratio, depending on the needs of the children. All children must be supervised, and parents/guardians/caregivers must be respectful of other children and families.
Q- Can my respite care worker bring my child?
A- Yes. However, there must be a liability waiver signed by the parent/guardian on file before visiting. All respite workers must supervise the child in their care at all times.
Q- Does it get crowded?
A- As with any walk in business it is hard to predict the number of children playing at any given time. Please feel free to call prior to visiting if you have concerns. Certain times may be busier than others.
Q- Do I have to be a member to come?
A- No. You may come as often as you would like without being a member and just pay per visit. For those who may wish to come on a regular basis, we also have memberships available.
Q- What should I bring with me and my family to the gym?
A- Please plan to bring clean socks for everyone, including any adults that may be visiting. There will be socks at the gym for purchase if you forget to bring some.
Q- Is outside food and drink allowed?
A- No food or drink will be allowed inside the facility, with the exception of infants. The only time food will be allowed is during birthday parties, and all food will have to remain in the party room during party times. We want to make sure that the facility is safe for all families, and we cannot account for all allergies.
Q- Do you offer drop off hours?
A- No
Q- What is the benefit of purchasing a membership?
A- This is a great option for those families that plan on visiting the gym multiple times a month and don’t want to have to pay per visit.
