The Mission of Kidz N Motion, Inc. is to provide social interaction and physical fitness opportunities for children with developmental challenges through learning activities that include natural and structured play, to help them grow into contributing and participating members of their families and communities.

The Kidz N Motion, Inc. Board of Directors is currently working toward fundraising for a facility for this nonprofit. In order to provide children and families with better programs and to meet increasing demand for equipment and available space, we are hoping to build a new facility for both indoor and outdoor activities.  All funds received for Kidz N Motion, Inc., will be used to further physical skills, socialization skills, and purposeful play programs in our new facility for children with developmental challenges.

While not every child will play an organized sport, they will be a part of a family.  Being an active participant in their family and community is very important with those that have developmental, social and physical challenges.  Kidz N Motion, Inc. hopes to give families an opportunity to enjoy being together in settings other than the home.  

We have included a video of a program in New York that is similar to what Kidz N Motion, will be doing in our community.

HOLBROOK, N.Y. (FOX 5 NY) – Inclusive Sports and Fitness is a specialized training facility that uses neuroscientific principles to help children with disabilities learn not only movement and motor skills but also cognition and social skills. Alex Lopez is a professor of occupational therapy at New York Institute of Technology. Through grants and private funding, he opened the space in order to meet the needs of children living with autism, Down syndrome, and ADHD.  It’s about creating an environment of inclusivity while enhancing children’s abilities to perform daily activities.  

We have spoken with Mr. Lopez and he graciously supported our use of the video attached to this page.  Please note that while The ISF program is geared toward sports and play, Kidz N Motion, Inc will be focused on activities that will help children be an active participant in the family and community.  Whether that is natural play or structured play, such as a sport. We hope you will watch the video and even visit the Inclusive Sports and Fitness page to get an idea of the overall goals of Kidz N Motion, Inc.  

Who will be eligible:

For ages 5 to 18.  Social Skills groups and Parenting Classes will also be an option for children ages 3 to 18 years of age.  

Children with developmental delays and disabilities, anxiety and behavioral challenges.  We are still working on the details, so as we get closer to having a physical location for our program we will be updating our information.
